The purpose of the Vent Condensers is to recover the heat from vented condensate or feedwater tanks. Flash Steam is generated from the  condensate when its pressure is reduced. The flash steam from feedtanks and condensate tank can be routed through vent condensers to recover the heat before it is vented to the atmosphere. This waster energy is recovers and can be used to provide hot water for different applications in the plant.
